Professional Work

Blue Road Research Web Intern (http://www.bluerr.com)

Blue Road Website During the summer of 2004 I was hired by Blue Road Research, a small business located in Greshem, OR that specialized in the development of fiber optic sensors, to re-design their web site. The site was transformed from a primitive design with limited information, to the current portal, offering visitors details about Blue Road Research, its products, and its research. The new site utilizes Cascading Style Sheets to control the appearence of the HTML and PHP to dynamically present visitors with the information they need.

I am currently still employed on an "as-needed" basis to maintain and update the website

Class Work

Senior Design: Formula SAE

Senior Design Project Logo

My Senior Design Project, a requirement for the mechanical engineers at the University of Portland, is currently in progress. For my project, I chose to work with seven other seniors on the Formula SAE race car. Our task is to design, build, and race in competition the entire car, according the rules set forth by the Society of Automotive Engineers. My individual job is to design, integrate, and test the lubrication and cooling subsystems.

The image links to a site I created for the ASME Technical Web Page contest. The idea is to convey information about an engineering topic via the web. My entry earned 2nd place and $75.

Audio Spectrum of Musical Instruments

Audio Spectrum The culmination of ME 443 - Measurement and Test was a small project to illustrate our knowledge of data acquisition or design of experiments, the two main topics covered by the class. Driven by intellectual curiosity and musical interest, I chose to investigate the frequency spectra of sound waves produced by musical instruments.

The deliverables for the project were a 5-10 minute presentation, and the report which I have included here.
